The Ghouta region, surrounding Damascus with over three million trees, is a true oasis formed by the river Barada. Ghouta provides the Damascene with a variety of resources like the golden apricot tree that crowns the old city. Apricot is considered a part of their heritage with several traditional recipes like our own golden apricots with the tender texture of freshly picked summer fruits filled with crispy pistachios.
